This workshop is designed to train you to dance musically to salsa and bachata music. We will be looking at the structure of some popular songs, exploring how to tailor your moves to different parts of the song, ways that you can accentuate certain instruments and rhythms, as well as how to preempt and hit breaks in the music.

 

Followers will learn where and how to add their styling to emphasise the music, how to follow the leader when they change their moves to be musical and also the appropriate moments to hijack the leader to hit something in the music! 

 

Level: minimum of 2-3 months experience dancing salsa or bachata- you should know the basic steps in both dances, as well as simple walking turns. No previous knowledge of musicality is required.
